CyWoods team has been very busy with the start of the debate Season in the new school year.

Grapevine: Chakra Jonnalagada was the semifinalist in Varsity Lincoln Douglas and got a bid for TOC.  Yohan Wong was the octofinalist in Varsity Lincoln Douglas and got a bid for TOC.  Tvisha Malik & Hannah Bertinot were octofinalists in Varsity Public Forum.

Yale: Tvisha Malik and Hannah Bertinot were Octofinalists in Varsity Public Forum.

Greenhill:  Chakra Jonnalagada and Yohan Wong participated in Varsity LD.

Kudos to all the kids!!

CyWoods team did a great job in Harvard over the weekend.

Tvisha Malik and Eileene Lee were Octofinalists in Varsity Public Forum out of 350 teams and received their second gold bid to Tournament of Champions.

Lucas Clarke was the Triple Octofinalist in Varsity Lincoln Douglas out of 258 teams.  Lucas already has 5 gold bids to Tournament of Champions.

Yohan Wong went 4-2 in Varsity LD Prelims.

CyWoods debate students- Tvisha, Eileene, Lucas and Chakra represented the school well in the Holy Cross National tournament and Big Brass Round Robin in New Orleans.

Lucas Clarke won first place in LD and won his second Gold bid to the Tournament of Champions.

Tvisha Malik and Eileene Lee competed in the semifinals and won their second Silver bid to the Tournament of Champions.

Chakra Jonnalagadda won third place in the Big Brass Round Robin in LD.

Greenhill National Invitationals for Lincoln Douglas:Congratulations Lucas Clarke for being invited to the prestigious Greenhill Round Robin and representing CyWoods well.

Lucas Clarke and Chakra Jonnalagodda competed in the LD division of the Greenhill Tournament.  Lucas Clarke went into the Octafinals and received the bid to the TOC.

Cy-Woods debate team participated in the 28th Annual Grapevine Classic TFA and TOC qualifier on September 9-10, 2016  at Grapevine High School.

Public Forum debate:

Tvisha Malik and Eileene Lee made it to the Octofinal rounds and got a bid to the Silver tournament of Champions.

Lincoln Douglas debate:

Chakra Jonnalagadda and Lucas Clark made it to the Octofinal rounds.

Reminder:  The Wildcat Classic Planning Meeting will be held on Monday, Sept 14 @ 6:30 p.m. in Coach A’s Room (#2702).

Please come help us make this year’s host tournament a success.  This is our MAJOR fundraiser of the year.  Just think after Sept. 27th, the bulk of our fundraising will be done – and you didn’t have to buy a coupon book, wrapping paper or cookies!
